What an appropriate title for this post!
Are we already half way through February? REALLY?
Have I seriously not posted in over a month? REALLY?
Have I seriously been married for almost 8 months? REALLY?
Do I really only have 4 short months left with my kiddies before I send them off to middle school? REALLY?
January was super fast, cold, exhausting, exciting, and overall good!
Where do I start?
At the end of 2013 I was sad that one of the best years of my life was ending, but excited because 2014 had so many amazing things planned for us! God has been so so good to us!
Ross’ stepfather is STILL in remission! Thank you Lord!
So MANY of our friends and some family are getting married within the next year. Some of which, Ross and I have been chosen to celebrate with them in their bridal party. Ross will even be best man in one our longest friends’ wedding! He is overjoyed!
I started graduate school! I finally made the decision and went for it! Thanks to an amazing advisor at Nicholls State University (my undergrad alma mater), I was scheduled for classes in less than a week and began my graduate school journey! The program is Educational Leadership in Technology and it is completely online. The whole process takes a year and a semester and I am pretty excited. My students thought it was coolest thing that I have “homework.” Little do they know teachers always have “homework!” lol
So, I participate in a sort of “pen pal” gift box exchange called Cara box. Check it out HERE! I had a great experience last exchange. I sent to an awesome friend who I still keep in contact with! Unfortunately the person who was supposed to send to me stopped replying to me after she “sent” me my box. I still decided to give it another try. This time, Kaitlyn, who is the Cara box organizer changed some things about it. We are now matched with other people in our state and it is ran through instagram instead of primarily through blogs! I LOVE this idea! It is so much quicker to check up with my partners on instagram than it was to check their blogs. Anyways this time I was matched with a great friend named Ace is straight up inspirational! When I was debating whether or not to begin graduate school she was so supportive and reassured me that it was no big deal. I appreciate her support so much! Check out her blog and read a little about her. I hope to continue contacting her. I hope she loves her goodies! The person that I sent to me was named Emily! I don’t think she has a blog but I wanted to share the amazing goodies she sent me! The theme was “shiny” new year. That would be why most of my gifts were shiny!
So many things that are PERFECT for me! I am so glad that this exchange was changed to instagram. She learned so many things about me through my instagram that she probably wouldn’t have learned through my blog! Her attention to detail was just incredible! I can’t wait for the next exchange in March!!
