Are you a digital planner beginner?

Do you ever look at the digital planners on Pinterest or Etsy and think, “I have no idea where to even begin with digital planning!” Digital planning has become a hobby of mine over the last few years. I enjoy creating new templates and planners to help make your life easier! With many different planners, come many different questions. I have completed a Digital Planning Guide for beginners to help get you started on your journey. Along with quick tips, the guide will help you decide which planner is right for you!

Sync your planner across multiple devices!

What is a digital planner?

A digital planner is a planner that is completely paperless. You can print pages off if needed but the idea to keep all of your dates, lists, etc in the palm of your hand without carrying around a bulky paper planner. Digital planners have functioning tabs and links that make it easier to find thinks. They are often utilizing in PDF annotation apps but Google slides is an alternative as well!

What materials do I need?

An iPad is not mandatory in order to digital plan. A tablet is also not mandatory. There are many people who digital plan from a Chromebook, surface pro, MacBook, or other devices that can download annotation apps and/or google slides! An apple pencil is also not mandatory for digital planning. A quick google search of a compatible stylus for your device will bring up many other affordable options. Step by Step Directions:

Before beginning your digital planning journey, you will need to download the planner to your device. Upon purchase from TPT or Etsy, you will be guided to a google drive file where you will download the planner. To get the planner to a tablet or iPad device, many options are available. You can airdrop or email the file to your iPad or save the file to your google drive. In my digital planner guide for beginners, you will be able to see the many options available!

Q: Will this planner work on a surface pro?

A: Yes! See the first page for the list of apps compatible!

Q: Will this planner work on a Chromebook?

A: Yes, the digital teacher planners will work on a Chromebook when editing in the google slides program.

Q: Can this planner sync across multiple devices?

A: Yes, as long as all devices are utilizing the same app and cloud settings

Q: Can I use my planner without internet access?

A: Yes! You need the internet to get the planner onto your device and to sync/update across multiple devices. To annotate on your planner you do not need internet access.

Q: Can I use digital stickers on a Chromebook?

A: Yes, you will just have to google how to screenshot on your device. All devices are different.

Q: Do I have to buy a new planner every year, or are they updated for free with new dates?

A: Similar to buying a paper planner, a new one would be purchased each year. For those to wish to use the same planner every year, I have created an undated version that can be used year after year. For the dated planners, I create completely new and updated planners yearly!
