How to use a digital planner for google slides

A teacher planner for google slides is a great accessory to digitize and organize your school year! Digital planning and digital learning have a completely different meaning after the year 2020. More than ever teachers are looking for ways to work smarter and use less paper. Let’s be real, in the blink of an eye, we were told to gather our things from our classrooms and go home. We had no idea when we would be back. We had no idea what to grab. Imagine having all of the documentation and planning things you need at your fingertips? Digital planning is the answer to the dream!

This teacher planner for google slides is perfect for any teacher who wants to start digital planning but does not have an ipad or tablet!

Have you thought about a teacher digital planner but just brushed the idea off because you do not have an iPad/tablet? I understand! I was that teacher. You can still utilize digital planning by using a teacher planner for google slides. I’m ready to show you all of the benefits of making the switch!

Linked Tabs

The tabs in your teacher digital planner function just like the tabs in the iPad/tablet version. They work best in presentation mode but can be used in edit mode as well. Simply click present, and then click on the tab. If using this planner on google slides on an iPad/tablet, the links may look a little different but still function the same.

Search Feature

I can’t express how much I use the search feature. So many times I attend a parent meeting or IEP and need to search for documentation on a specific student. I can search that name instantly and see all pages in the planner where their name was documented. For example, grades, small group documentation, data tracking, parent conferences, etc.

Link Lesson Plans & Resources

When creating lesson plans there are tons of resources that are utilized. Using your google slides teacher planner you can link all activities and resources in your planner. This is something I used when we were learning virtually. I would link the google classroom assignment in my planner. When recording my videos explaining the assignments for the week, I could quickly click on the google classroom assignment linked in my planner and continue to explain the directions.

Use Digital Stickers

Who doesn’t love to dress up their planner? I love personalizing my planner and even my water bottle with stickers! I have included over 200 digital planner stickers in this google slides planner. Simply screenshot or snip the sticker and copy and paste it to your place of preference in the planner.

Export & Edit in Powerpoint

A digital planner for teachers in google slides sounds perfect, right? The only downfall to google slides is the limited use of fonts. If you are a fellow Font Addict, you have specific fonts you love. A lot of customers requested a planner for Powerpoint. The good news is that your google slides digital teacher planner can be moved to Powerpoint and still have working links and text boxes. Simple click on file, download, and PowerPoint. The links will work when in presentation mode. Add your text and images as you wish!

Returning from maternity leave I found myself looking for ways to work quickly so I could rush home to my newborn after school. My school wanted us to use specific forms to document all small group activities with my students. Sometimes I would meet with nearly 20 students. Documenting this was time-consuming. I found a way to document digitally and it saved my time as well as paper. I would simply search the students’ names, document their progress, and save. Printing and emailing it to the proper person when needed was a breeze as well!
